“The way credit scores are calculated needs to change to reflect shifts in demographics, technology, and lifestyles. At a summit NAR hosted with other groups, credit scoring companies agreed changes are needed and they said they’re in the works. HUD Secretary Julian Castro attended the summit as well and said FHA is also looking at change. Credit Reporting Firms to Improve Practices      By Vijay Yadlapati, Charles Dawson, Daniel Blair On Monday, March 9, 2015, the 3 largest credit-reporting firms – Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion – reached an agreement with New York state to overhaul their reporting and error resolution practices.
