Bold City Brings More Life to Downtown Jacksonville as it has gotten initial approval for a $28,000 five-year forgivable loan that it plans to put towards its upcoming Downtown Jacksonville location at 109 E. The old Akra Bros. department store site in Springfield will get an Italian-themed restaurant and bar, an art gallery and dry-cleaning service all rolled into one this summer. Owner John Crispens, manager of the nightclub Mark’s Downtown, said he plans to invest $300,000 to build out the space at 1735 N.
